Throngs of squeaking huddled masses close enough for Braille yearning to breath free from resembling an open tin of sardines while millions of others around the world, Rula Lenska included, Popping their own corks and rapidly filling champagne flutes to overflowing as America's reputed favorite "oldest teen" icon, Sitting high above the madding crowd, bundled up warmly from the cold and positioned quite comfortably in the usual manner under a distinctly familiar glistening globe of mammoth proportions dangling high above the city and dropping at a rate of approximately 25 miles per hour as we speak! And You thought I was describing a new Stallone movie???

"5...4...3...2...1..." And now at last it is at hand, Happy New Millennium Everybody!

"Passengers aboard flight 1999 of Spacecraft Earth, You are about to enter the Age of Aquarius, Please extinguish all flamable materials and fasten your safety belts, Have a nice landing.". If Miss Davis were still dwelling upon this side of Forever, One might have inquired as to whether this would be one of her famous "Bumpy Nights" she spoke of in the Movies or not. That's Rubbish.

I am happy to report that the transition from this "Piscean" Age" (00-1999, A.D.) From which we are now making our own Exodus, Sans the hot dessert gavotte for 40 long years and the Cecil B. DeMille melodramatics such as red sea's that part and flaming bush's that speak (Talk about your nature fantasists, Now REALLY!), Into the "New & Improved", Y2K Compliant and seemingly "sanitized for your protection" as well, NEW "Age of Aquarius" will actually be quite nice and very exciting in a most positive way. So please, Take a deep breath now and follow me, As we are going to take this whole matter rather calmly. I believe you shall indeed find it rather calm as well, That's the good news!!

When I was young, (I am now a quadragenerian, Which is to say, One of Mr. "Kennedy's Children"), The new age of the year 2000 seemed light-years away. It was looked upon in speculation and conversation like science fiction. As Mr. Rock said at the 9/9/99 MTV Video Awards, "We thought 2000 was going to be like 'The Jetsons'... And we're still trying to get to 'The Jeffersons'!". This may be a most valid point, In a shaky sort of way. Just remember, "The Jeffersons" was all summed up in the theme song from the show, "We're Moving on Up"! (Remember the Lyrics?)

Now is the time that we shall indeed be focused on "Moving on Up" and, In the process, We shall be "Morphing" as a collective whole altogether as well, As Gary Zukav ("The Seat of the Soul") and Caroline Myss, Ph.D. (Anatomy of the Spirit), As well as countless others have been teaching us for the last decade. It is time for a new species expansion and "TAG"... We're it! Not to worry though, As this is going to be a most wonderful thing.

We are evolving with the turn of this Millennium from "Homo-Sapien" to "Homo- Noeticus", Which is to say, Going from existing day to day as simple five sensory beings (i.e., See, Smell, Taste, Hear, Feel), Into the much preferred Multi-Sensory Being which is where our body, mind & soul level shall all start to function in total harmony with each other as was intended all along (refer to Moses' "Genesis" or Plato's "The Corruption" for more explicit details) and a species who shall realize that it is much easier and efficient to "Go Within" than "Go Without". In "Conversations with God, Book One" we were specifically informed "If you do not go within you will go without". (Yes, I DO mean Literally!)

It seems that in such a short time span of 2000 "Earth Years", We are finally on the threshold of getting it all together. Our past is History, The Future our Mystery, So if we dwell in the eternity of the NOW moment at all times, we do and shall indeed receive a gift... And everyone knows that's why "Now" is called "The Present", Right?( Can I get an AMEN on the "Present"?!!) I suppose that shall lead us here to our present alternative here at hand, Which is, Evolutionary, My Dear Watson!

As the "Divine" Ms. Winfrey has been reminding us for the past two years on her every broadcast, Which is, To "Remember Your Spirit" (And Thank You Oprah, Well Done!), This is precisely what this New Age/Evolution uproar is all about, The Spirit! It amazes me in this day and age, or, Any day and age for that matter, Why the majority of the population at hand seems to have absolutely no use or even seemingly remote interest in their Spirit at all until either the "Doctor" sentences you to some untimely demise or the Priest is on his way to administer the sacrament of "Extreme Unction", More commonly known as the final anointing of the body or, Blatantly, "The LAST RITE" or, DEATH. It makes it all seem so finite, so temporal, so unnatural, No wonder the world as we know it seems to remain in a constant state of fear and chaos twenty-four/seven..., This which, By the way, We refer to most superficially and acceptingly as "The Evening News". (Walter Cronkite, Eat your heart out!!!)

How banal and even distasteful. "News" in the age of media and communication has diluted into nothing more than a 'comme il faut' Boogey-Man for Adults. As long as this stays as such, Please..., Allow my unworthy self to continue to follow the rule of Peter Pan which modern day society now has monikered a "Syndrome" of all things, And I shall continue on my merry way and have no desire to ever "Grow Up"! Give me a few butch Pirates for interest, A good Fairy for Magic and an Island Home for Lost Boys and I'm as happy as Miss Piggy on the "Big Screen"! (Yes Virginia, Miss Piggy is a DIVA too!!!)

All in all, I believe Mr. Gary Zukav was correct last year when he declared that "Y2K" meant to simply say "Yes 2 Kindness" and if we can take that theory in while realizing that if there are 6 billion people on the face of this orb we call "Earth", And realize that means there are 6 billion other realities, Each distinct and unique in it's own right to respect and let live, Then all will truly be well and we can then calmly shift our thought processes from all this millennium ballyhoo unto much more important things like Mr. Kubrick's impressions of the year 2001, Which we all remember, Was a "Space Odyssey" in it's own right... Right Hal???

In closing, My dear Alphonse, I sit here in a pastoral setting calmly reminiscing just before the big "Holiday Hit" times that lie just ahead, And my thoughts go back to what seems like a "Past Lifetime" Ago... I hear music, Very vibrant and as alive and young as those who sing it. It is a declaration, A prophecy of things past, Yet even more meaningful today than perhaps than when it originally debuted onstage in an era we now refer to simply as "The Sixties". The voice gets louder, and more definitive, Subjugating itself for a new mass approval it rings out very clearly now, Once again...

"When the Moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligned with Mars, Then Peace shall guide the Planets and LOVE will steer the Stars! This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!" Now we have come a full revolution and some of us are still here to tell the story, The "Never-Ending" Story of sorts as you learn that it simply keeps evolving and even at times when it may seem that we M&M's (Mere Mortals) are on some downward non evolutionary spiral to "Hell" as it is widely "Preached", We in fact, Are absolutely PERFECT just the way the Divine created us, Each in our own unique fashion, and are a linear reflection of our true "Royal Parents"... The Divine itself. Enjoy your Millennium and remain "Happy, Grateful People", Remember, "He who is Happy & Grateful is He who always is Abundantly Blessed... 24/7 and THEN some"!

Be kind, Be good Be grateful, But most of all BE YOURSELF! The World will always cherish "The Original"!
